Maybe I've been having a little too much fun lately. Last weekend we were able to go down to Gardnerville. Drew's sister Allison and her fiancee John were visiting and also Drew's cousin Jay and wife Tiffany. Jay and Tiffany have an adorable little 9 mo old girl named Olivia and she was so cute. I wish I had taken a picture of her. Also, Drew's aunt and uncle came down as well, but we had to leave before we could really sit down and visit with them. Nonetheless the weekend was a lot of fun! I tagged along to Allison and Johns engagement photos, got to see Allison's wedding dress, and of course, we went shooting and had lots of yummy food. I'm glad that we live so close!
Shooting was a lot of fun and I was able to shoot my gun for the first time. Drew and his Dad went to the gun show two weeks ago and bought a 22 Sig Mosquito. Drew got the gun specifically for me so I can have one for my very own. Which means I can now get my CCW license. Cabela's is having a CCW class at the end of May, it's only $125 and is guaranteed for life. Meaning free renewals and free add-ons. Drew and I both think it's a great deal. It's still a lot of money though so I'm hesitant to sign up although I want to get my CCW eventually maybe this month isn't the month. I don't know. I'll keep you posted. Personally I don't want to take the class because I care about carrying a concealed weapon around, but to learn gun safety and legal issues in owning a gun.

This week Dr. Aland's wife had her baby. Born on Tuesday, April 28th at 11:57 pm so we had to cancel all of our apppointments for Wednesday and Thursday. I loved having the day off. Drew and I went to Best Buy and bought a webcam and a new mouse for the laptop and then we went to the mall. I got two pairs of shoes and a necklace for 40 bucks and Drew bought a new batting glove for softball. And I got to sleep in!
On Wednesday my coworkers and I went and visited Lisa in the hospital and their new little girl Addison Joy Aland. She was really cute and it was precious to hold a little day old babe. She was 8 lbs. 6 oz. a little bit chunky, but still very cute. I got a little freaked out too though cause Lisa was talking about the after birth contractions and all this stuff and I must have had this awful look on my face cause everyone noticed and said how freaked out I looked. Lol... yep not looking forward to that one although it would be worth it.

Then on Thursday I did go into work to get the mail, answer the phone, and check the messages. And to go to a continuing education seminar to learn spanish specifically geared for dentistry. We learned phrases like "When would you like your apppointment?" and "Open your mouth" and "Do you want more drugs?" and then a whole bunch of vocab for dentistry. I've learned several times how to count in Spanish, but after this class I think it finally stuck and I can honestly say that I can count to at least 1000 in Spanish. I feel a little more confident in talking to Spanish patients or at least making an appointment and letting them know how much they owe. I still need to practice a lot, but I learned the necessities that I use at the desk so I was happy. They had a raffle prize drawing and I won a pedicure! Yea to getting paid to win stuff and learn! It was a lot of fun.
Today Drew and I went to the Nevada Humane Society Adopathon event. They are actually staying open for 36 straight hours in hopes of achieving 200 adoptions. They actually have around 700 pets there. One of the largest Humane Societies I have ever seen. We found an amazing white Siberian Husky which we would have adopted in two seconds if we had a yard. She was so affectionate, well-trained, and beautiful. I was so heartbroken that we had to leave her. Drew said its the one dog he's ever wanted to own. She was perfect in every way. I really wish we had a yard at this point, but hopefully we will someday soon.
It has really been a great week! I wish every week went by this fast and was this eventful. I am looking forward to going on vacation at the end of the month to Utah for Tyler and Tristan's wedding. I need a vaca badly!
