Halloween
Halloween was a whirlwind event and I happened to create our costumes this year out of duct tape and black clothing to create "TRON" outfits. I spent a good part of the whole day creating them cutting the duct tape with an exacto knife and cutting out circles while referencing pictures from the new 2010re-make. Green is all I could get on short notice. I can't really remember what we were planning on doing before this idea took over, but the night before Drew and I were sitting in bed and he told me about an awesome homemade Tron costume he had seen a little kid wear at his school and we decided to go with it. I was surprised how many people had no idea or never heard of Tron even those self-proclaimed to be 80s children. What? Anyway our ward party was fun yet we still retired early since bedtime for Asher is like 7 or so! Asher was such a cute Tron character though!
Taylor Creek
Visiting Taylor Creek during the salmon run is another one of my favorite traditions that we have started since we moved to Reno. This year was no exception, but definitely not the best year we've experienced. Unlike last year it was freezing! Last year we went when Asher was only 5months and it was gorgeous, sunny, warm, and there were SO many salmon spawning it was fantastic. The great thing about this year is that all of Drew's siblings are in Gardnerville and we got everyone together to brave the falling snow and cold! But despite it all we took a ton of family photos. Yea! I can't wait for this coming year and hopefully it will be warm again and hopefully we can spend it with family again :)
