I don't know why, but it made me so happy to make little heart shaped cookies. At activity days all the girls brought poems about Valentine's Day and shared them. One of the girls brought the book Small and Simple Things by Marjorie Pay Hickley. It's such a great little book and I found a quote that I thought was cute." I really like the quote because it makes me smile when I read "..two clumsy individuals, learning to love..." and I can't help but think of Drew and I, just two bumbling fools who love each other intensely and are still learning a great deal together.
I have been smiling all day in anticipation for Valentine's Day. Drew let it slip that he had gotten me something in secret. I wasn't expecting for him to do that at all, but I've been so giddy since. I've got a few things of my own planned for tonight so I'm very excited to Drew to get off work already! Oh, and we're celebrating Valentine's tonight (Friday) instead of Saturday since we are going down to Gardnerville again this weekend. I am so pleased with all of my preparations, but I don't want to spoil anything for Drew so I won't go into detail. Have a Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
On a side note, do you ever go into Costco with the intention of buying only one thing so you bypass getting a cart and then there you are trying to juggle these large bulk items in your arms at the same time trying to still taste the samples an failing horribly..? Yeah, that was me today.
