...with a bug that is. Naturally working in a doctors office I am constantly exposed to a lot of people. Dr. Aland and Shelby were sick about a week or two ago and then I started feeling really ill starting on Thursday. Dr. Aland's wife was very ill as well today. I guess there's something going around which seems to be concentrated in our office. I've been wiping down all known surfaces to the touch and disinfecting by hands with antibacterial that I stole from the hygiene room in hopes to stop this dreadful illness! It started with a horrible sore throat and chills, but it has now been mostly attacked my sinuses in which I am still a functioning working person just a little sniffly as of late and currently drugged up with Benadryl. On a positive note, I feel like I will be much better by Christmas.
As most of you know I'm in Reno for work and Drew is in Gardnerville with his family. I will be going down there on Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how many patients we have. Drew and I are just of shy of being married for 2 1/2 years and it is still hard to be separated. When he first left on Thurday I cried. I think the situation was compounded by the fact that I was sick and it would have been nice for him to be here to take care of me. Then I followed him down there for the weekend and then when I had to come back without him I cried again. I can be overly dramatic at times, but again I'm just going to say that everything has been compounded by many things. When we were first married it was hard to get used to sleeping next to Drew and I would talk in my sleep. Now its hard to get any sleep without him!
I am so excited for Christmas this year. The suspense is rising and I am more than pleased with the gifts that we selected for everyone this year. I've had a countdown to Christmas on a little sticky note on my desk for some time and it has been exciting to to cross off each day. It's amazing how fast all of the holidays fly by as you get older (and we don't even have kids yet...). Honestly, I have no excuse for not getting out our holiday greeting this year so sorry all. I'm just not with it this year!
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sports sports sports!
In what has been a rather dismal December, the Pens have refreshed my hopes in their performance tonite. In a convincing win, yes over the Isles who do happen to be the 2nd worst team in the league, 2 Pens players had career nights with recording their first hat tricks. Though they have lost 4 of 6 since the month began, this hopefully will propel them back to the top of the division.
In college football, the Cougars will face off against the Arizona Wildcats on Dec. 20 at 8:00 eastern time on ESPN. Don't miss it! Also, the Utes will play some game later on in the month. Don't waste your time, I say. Alabama will slaughter them Utes.
The Cougars are having a great start to the basketball season, undefeated so far, and still holding the nations longest home unbeaten streak at 54. They have yet to play their toughest opponents , ASU and Wake.
Go Cougars!
